Here’s a fact that will not surprise you: We’re located at 9 East Stephenson Street, in historic downtown Freeport.
“Downtown” implies being at the heart of a city, but you could say we’re at the heart of the heart of Freeport. Our owners have been in business at this location since the Eighties and have seen the Pretzel City in bustling prosperity, stumbling through factory closings and the Great Recession and now resurgent, vibrant and growing stronger each day.
Whether you’re part of that business growth and need caffeine and calories on your way to work, or you’re sampling all the downtown has to offer, we’re your perfect destination. Within a very short walk, you can reach anything from A to Y (antique shops to a yarn store) with the Chamber of Commerce, banks, law firms and corporate offices in between. There’s plenty of on-street parking and the hundreds of spaces in the free municipal lot are a bit over a block away. We’re also a short walk from Debate Square, where Abraham Lincoln debated Stephen Douglas, and Union Dairy, where you’ll find some the tastiest ice cream in the region. Or have lunch with us and take in a movie at the historic Lindo Theater, just a block down Chicago from us.
Best of all, you can enjoy your meal or coffee right in the midst of it all with our Parisian-style sidewalk cafe seating, open through Spring, Summer and Fall. Whether you like to people-watch or would just like fresh air with your fresh brew, it’s a lovely spot to relax. And of course, you can use our free wi-fi. Speaking of which…
You may need to catch up on some work, or you might be catching up on social media. No matter what you’re up to, use our free wi-fi to connect. Simply ask for the password when you order.
